COMPLETING THE MOOSE LAKE COMMUNITY SCHOOL WHILE MAXIMIZING OUR COMMUNITY’S INVESTMENT.

On Tuesday, May 14, the residents of Moose Lake will decide whether to invest in the completion of the Moose Lake Community School. Because the community-wide tax impact from the 2014 referendum is lower than projected, the cost of a voter-approved referendum would remain at or below the original tax impact. Additionally, we can still access the state equalization aid provided after the flood destroyed our school. Approving a referendum at this time will allow the District to get a great return on investment. With this state equalization, we can make each dollar go further.

Question 1 asks for $3.935 Million and Question 2 asks for $2.7 Million. Question 2 is contingent on Question 1. The total dollar amount being requested in $6.635 Million. The total tax impact of this dollar amount stays within the original 2014 tax impact.
