ELECTION DAY IS MAY 14TH.
Your participation and investment are important. On May 14, residents will decide whether to make this investment for the future of our students and community.
WHAT ARE RESIDENTS VOTING ON?
Residents will vote on two ballot questions focused on investing in the completion of the Moose Lake Community School campus. Most of this will go towards an early childhood playground, enhancing safety and security with lit parking, making trails for educational and community opportunities, and improving our outdoor facilities and building additional outdoor facilities and spaces.
WHY ARE WE VOTING ON THIS?
In 2014, our community voted to build the new Moose Lake Community School. However, more work is needed to complete our campus. There is a lack of outdoor facilities, including an early childhood playground, parking lots, athletic fields and public amenities. State law requires voter approval of major capital projects that require bonds to fund them.
WHERE TO Early VOTE
You can vote early by mail or in person starting March 29. If you are not registered to vote at your current address, you can register in-person when early voting. You can vote early in person at Carlton County Courthouse - on weekdays between 8 AM and 4 PM until May 13.
Election Day is May 14, 2019 from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. If you have not registered, you can register to vote before May 14 and save time on Election Day. If you forget to register before Election Day, Minnesota allows same-day voter registration. The combined polling location on Election Day is the Moose Lake Community Civic Center (Library Entrance) at 313 Elm Ave., Moose Lake.
